Power Cooking
SUMMER MONTHS - Not in session, otherwise it occurs on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month .
This class will relieve the pressure of cooking each evening as we end our tiresome work day. As a team we will pre-make at least 3 meals for the coming week. The total cost for 3-4 meals should be about ... $30 per family of 4 people, $40 per family of 6 people, $50 per family of 8 people, $60 per family of 10 people ... Other benefits:
1.) Save time and money
2.) Sharing recipes and cooking tips from each other.
3.) We may invite a surprise "Chef" to enlighten us with their passion in cooking by interacting and actually preparing a meal with us.
4.) We will discuss and make available some unique cooking accessories.
5.) We will attempt to keep our meal cost per family of four at $10.00.
6.) All of the ingredients will be purchased in advance, in bulk by our class facilitator each week based on the class participants*.
7.) We have the use of a commercial kitchen.
Wow, what a great asset!
8.) When finished you go away with meals stored in bags & containers shown to the right here.

Somewhere around your 4th time to participate in power cooking we would like you to recommend a few meals. Email the recipe to Patricia Keith.
When choosing a meal the following should be considered;
*Cost of each meal is around $10 per family of 4 people
*Time to prepare it all must be 2 hours
*Balance chicken dishes with beef dinners
*What containers are needed to hold meal
*Does it all get cooked that night?
*Can at least one dinner be placed in the freezer?
Patricia (or facilitator) will determine if and when this recipe can be used. She will also calculate the total shopping ingredients needed based on the number of participants that week.
IMPORTANT– The cooking night is over once EVERYONE has helped cleanup and bring, load or store equipment and supplies back to its designated areas … normally 8:30 p.m. !
