Apr. 18: Faith in Action Day, Grades 6-12

Jesus told His disciples in Mark 9:35 that, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

To help develop the joy of serving in our community, Faith West Academy will sponsor its second Faith in Action Day on April 18. The goal of this day is to enhance social and academic learning while developing character and citizenship skills.

During our first Faith in Action Day, our students blessed the following organizations:

6th Grade – Fort Bend Women’s Center – sorted clothing
7th Grade – KCM (Garden and Food Pantry) – dusted, sorted clothing, cleaned, organized
8th Grade – Manna House – added a gravel parking lot, and worked in garden
9th Grade – Manna House – added a gravel parking lot, and worked in garden
10th Grade – Life Long Learning Center – painted walls in new renovated area
11th Grade – Brookwood Community Center – interacted with residents, lead worship
12th Grade – Generation One/Freedom Place – mowed grass and cleaned the grounds
