Friday, June 7 from 10:00 to 2:00 pm
Faith West is deeply involved in West Houston/Katy community projects through our very own Eagle Initiative. The Eagle Initiative sponsors events that are aimed at changing lives. One such event is the Child Protective Services (CPS) Adoption Lake Outing at Faith West. Over the last five years, we have seen several foster children find a “forever home” by attending this amazing outing. This Adoption Lake Outing is a collaboration between Eagle Initiative and Harris County CPS. The Faith West campus becomes a great non-threatening environment where prospective, pre-approved adoptive parents can observe, meet, and interact with children hoping for a home.
You may find something that meets a need for you or your family … or, you may find a place to get involved by joining us in helping to make a real difference.
On Friday, June 7, we will host our annual lake outing for foster kids who hope to someday be adopted. From 10am to 2pm, these kids will enjoy our lake activities, be served lunch, and given a T-shirt. During this day, prospective adoptive parents have been invited to observe, meet, and interact with the kids. Money, volunteers, and supplies are needed to make this a successful event. If you can help in any way, please contact Sandy Brown, firstname.lastname@example.org.
